Two Raiders to compete at the Harrison Dillard Twilight

DAYTON — A pair of Raiders will compete in the Harrison Dillard Twilight on Friday, May 13, at George Finnie Stadium in Berea, Ohio.Â
The meet will commence at 2 p.m. with the women's shot put. The 110-meter hurdle prelims will kickstart running events at 4 p.m.
Alicia Neumeier will race in the 800-meter run at 4:45 p.m., while Abigail Halsey will look to set a new personal best in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 7 p.m.Â

LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, WSU placed 10th with 18 points at the Horizon League Outdoor Championship.Â
>> Halsey placed first in the 3K steeplechase for the second-straight year. The senior raced to a time of 10:56.30, which was 13 seconds ahead of the runner-up finisher.Â
>> Neumeier led the Raiders on day three with a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter run (2:17.06). In the prelims, she was third overall with a personal-best time of 2:14.04.
RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Halsey was named Horizon League Women's Runner of the Week after placing second with a time of 10:59.07 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational. The Tipp City, Ohio native outlasted 14 competitors on her way to tallying eight points for WSU.
REGIONAL RANKINGS
Halsey possesses the 20th-fastest 3K steeplechase time (10:56.30) in the NCAA Division I Great Lakes Region. Neumeier is just outside the top-50 in the Great Lakes Region, with a top time of 2:14.04 in the 800-meter run.Â
