Raiders conclude day one at Horizon League Outdoor Championship

The Wright State track and field program concluded competition on day one at the Horizon League Outdoor Championship in Rochester, Mich.Â
Melissa Siler, Tatiana Brown, and Bekah Robertson competed in the first four events of the heptathlon.Â
The trio tied for the fourth in the high jump with top clearances of 1.51 meters. Robertson led the Raiders in the 100-meter hurdles with a fifth-place finish at 15.28. Siler and Brown took 12th and 13th overall with times of 17.56 and 18.37, respectively.Â
Robertson collected her third fourth-place mark in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line at 26.80. Siler was close behind in 10th with a time of 28.06, while Brown finished 13th (28.84). Siler paved the way by taking ninth with a best toss of 9.14 meters in the shot put. Brown was 12th (8.19m) in the event, followed by Robertson in 13th (7.40m). Â
The quartet of Emma Shigley, Emma Johnson, Nataly Dunes Diaz, and Anna Johnson raced in the 1,500-meter run prelims. Shigley placed 17th with a time of 4:59.94, followed by E. Johnson in 25th (5:09.18), Dunes Diaz in 28th (5:17.45), and A. Johnson in 32nd (5:33.88).
