DAYTON — The Wright State women's basketball program wraps up its regular season with two home games inside the Nutter Center. WSU will host Oakland on Thursday, February 23, at 6 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. Senior Day matchup versus Detroit Mercy on Saturday, February 25.
The Raiders will celebrate the senior trio of Isabelle Bolender, Emily Chapman, and Bryce Nixon during the pregame portion of Saturday's game.

LAST TIME OUT
Wright State closed its regular-season road schedule with losses to Purdue Fort Wayne (82-95) and Cleveland State (49-87). Emily Chapman led the Raiders on the week by averaging 14.5 points on 55% shooting and a 41.7% mark on 3-pointers. She added five-plus assists in both games, highlighted by a season-high eight helpers at PFW. Bryce Nixon (12.0 ppg) and Isabelle Bolender (10.5 ppg) also averaged double-figure scoring over the two-game stretch.
SHOWING OFF RANGE
The Raiders rank second in the country and first in the HL with 9.9 3-pointers per game. Wright State has netted double-figure 3-pointers on 14 occasions, including nine times in its last 14 games. WSU made a school record 18 3-pointers versus Cleveland State (1/20) and added 14 threes at Purdue Fort Wayne (2/16) in the span. Seven players have netted 20-plus 3-pointers on the season, led by Bryce Nixon with 66 makes.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN GRIZZLIES
Oakland is 12-15 overall and 7-11 in the Horizon League under the direction of 10th-year head coach Jeff Tungate. The Golden Grizzlies snapped a four-game conference losing streak last Monday by taking down Detroit Mercy 66-65. OU clinched hosting rights for the first round of the Horizon League Championship with the win.
The Golden Grizzlies have three players scoring in double figures, led by five-time Horizon League Freshman of the Week Brooke Quarles-Daniels with team-high marks in points per game (11.7) and rebounds per game (5.3). As a team, Oakland tops the conference with 14.7 offensive rebounds per game while also ranking third in steals per game (8.7) and free throws per game (12.92).
HISTORY VS. OAKLAND
The Raiders have controlled the all-time series versus Oakland with 18 wins in 24 meetings. Wright State has finished on the losing end in its last four meetings against the Golden Grizzlies, including a narrow 73-68 defeat on January 13. WSU trailed 70-68 with 1:28 remaining in this year's first matchup but had three chances on offense to equal the score or take the lead. However, each opportunity fell short, including a potential game-tying 3-pointer with 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
WSU made history in its 80-75 win against OU during the 2017-18 season with school records in free throws makes (33) and free throw attempts (48).

Saturday will mark the 64th career meeting between WSU and UDM. The Raiders lead the all-time series 34-28, which includes 11-straight victories over Detroit. Wright State took down the Titans 82-69 in January 2023, tying a previous school record with 15 3-pointers. Kacee Baumhower helped the Raiders to their first HL victory of the year with a career-high 23 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Bryce Nixon poured in 18 points on a career-best six threes, while Emily Chapman added 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting.

The Raiders have committed just 13.0 turnovers per game this season, the 28th-lowest mark in the nation. Wright State has seven games with single-digit turnovers, including a season-low five versus IUPUI (2/4).

Emily Chapman surpassed 1,500 career points after scoring a season-high 28 in Wright State's 74-65 win at Milwaukee (2/10). She is also nearing 500 career rebounds (currently at 479 rebounds) in her collegiate career. The guard spent her first four seasons at nearby Cedarville University, where she was a two-time All-GMAC selection and NCCAA All-America Second Team selection in 2021. Fellow Cedarville transfer Isabelle Bolender is up 933 points over 88 collegiate games.

She has scored in double figures in 16 games, including nine times in conference play.
CHAP AT HER BEST
Emily Chapman has proven to be a threat in her first year with the Raiders, as she leads the team in shooting percentage (51%), 3-point shooting (45.5%), rebounding (3.2 rpg), and assists (2.9 apg) while ranking second in scoring (9.8 ppg) and steals (0.9 spg). The Proctorville, Ohio native poured in a season-best 28 points on 12-of-15 shooting at Milwaukee (2/10) and added 18 points at Tennessee (12/11). The 5-5 senior guard has been WSU's leading rebounder in five games and tallied five-plus assists in three-straight games.
WRIGHT FIT
Bryce Nixon joined Wright State with 317 career points over four collegiate seasons (105 games). The transfer guard has totaled 331 points (11.8 ppg) in just 28 games with the Raiders.
