WILMINGTON, NC – The Wright State golf team saw three individuals finish inside the top 10 as the Raiders finished 20-under as a group for a second-place finish at the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Monday afternoon.
 
Wright State, ranked No. 80 entering the tournament, finished one shot back of tournament champion No. 27 TCU, while the Raiders finished ahead of No. 51 Clemson (seventh), No. 71 UNC Wilmington (third), No. 76 Davidson (ninth) and No. 93 Toledo (10th).
 
Mikkel Mathiesen led the Raiders individually in a tie for seventh with his seven-under final score. Mathiesen, who opened Sunday with two-under first round, finished his second round Monday morning with a four-under 68 that saw five birdies before he turned in a one-under 71 in his final 18 holes. Mathiesen bogeyed three of his first four holes in the final round but closed with four birdies the rest of the way on the way to his top 10 finish.
 
Tyler Goecke and Andrew Flynn each finished in a tie for 10th at six-under for the tournament overall as both turned in final rounds of two-under 70. Goecke finished up his second round Monday morning with a two-under 70, while Flynn carded a four-under 68 in his second round with five birdies.
 
Davis Root was the third Raider to tally a final round two-under 70 as he finished one-under overall in a tie for 28th. Root finished his second round Monday morning with a three-under 69 and seven birdies before carding five more birdies over his final round. Cole Corder (t61) finished the tournament at seven-over following a three-over 75 as he finished his second round before an even par 72 over his final 18 holes.
 
The Seahawk Intercollegiate was the final trip on the regular season schedule for the Raiders, who next host the Wright State Invitational April 16 and 17 at Heatherwoode Golf Club before the Horizon League Championship the following week in Florida.
