DAYTON – The Wright State volleyball team took the opening set Friday before falling to UIC in four sets in the first of two Raider matches on the day at the Dayton Invitational.
Wright State (2-5) now turns around to take on Ball State Friday evening with a 5 p.m. start at the Frericks Center on the Dayton campus.
Against UIC, the Raiders were paced by
Megan Alders' 14 kills, while
Sam Ott added 11 kills and
Callie Martin just missed out on a double-double with nine kills and 16 digs.
Jenny Wessling's 23 digs was a match high, as were
Katie Meyer's 41 assists. Martin, Meyer and Wessling each added two service aces as well.
