DAYTON – The Wright State volleyball team saw
Sam Ott and
Lauren Yacobucci each record double-doubles as the Raiders took care of Green Bay in four sets Saturday afternoon inside McLin Gymnasium.
Wright State (18-4, 10-1 Horizon) now gets set for a three-match week, beginning with a Tuesday night matchup at Northern Kentucky before returning home for matchups with Robert Morris next Friday and Saturday. Green Bay drops to 9-14 overall and 6-5 in the Horizon with the loss.
Saturday, the Raiders dropped a tight opening set, 25-23, before bounding back with set wins of 25-13 and 25-14, respectively, and later closed the afternoon out with a 26-24 fourth set win. Wright State finished the match hitting .240 as a group, while Green Bay hit just .124 overall after notching a .267 mark in the opening set.
Reilly Zegunis led all players with a match-best 18 kills and
Mya Ayro added 16 of her own, while Ott collected another double-double with 11 kills and 16 digs. Yacobucci passed out 57 of the Raiders' 66 assists and added 16 digs for a double-double of her own.
Jenny Wessling had a match-high 23 digs, while
Jenny Morey turned in four of Wright State's seven service aces.
