Women's Basketball welcomes NKU for Senior Day

DAYTON — The Wright State women's basketball team continues its homestand inside the Nutter Center on Saturday afternoon when the Raiders welcome Northern Kentucky to town. Saturday's game is set for a 4 p.m. tipoff and fans can keep up with the action by watching on ESPN+ or following live stats. Saturday will be Homecoming and Senior Day, as Wright State will celebrate the careers of Layne Ferrell, Alexis Hutchison, Rachel Loobie, Jada Tate, Cara VanKempen and Makira Webster prior to tipoff.

LAST TIME OUT
A slow start on Wednesday against Youngstown State ended in a 52-72 loss for the Raiders Wednesday evening, moving the them into fourth place in the Horizon League standings. Kacee Baumhower led WSU scoring 13 of her 15 points in the second half, as she shot 41.7 percent from the floor and going three-for-three on the line. Layne Ferrell followed putting up 13 points for the Raiders, shooting 41.7 percent while putting up seven rebounds. Alexis Hutchison finished with eight rebounds and four assists.
HOW THEY ARE STACKING UP
With less than three weeks remaining in the regular season, Wright State enters Saturday's contest sitting in fourth place in the Horizon League standings with a 9-7 Horizon League record. The Raiders are looking up at Cleveland State and Green Bay, who share the top seat being 13-2 in HL action. Purdue Fort Wayne is 9-6 in the HL and sits third. WSU is one game up in the win column from Detroit Mercy (8-7), and two up from Milwaukee and Youngstown State (both 8-8). The Raiders sit three wins up from Saturday's opponent, Northern Kentucky (6-9). As the standings currently sit, the Raiders closest foes in terms of the standings over their final four regular season contests are home against Northern Kentucky (6-9) on Saturday and at Detroit Mercy (8-7) in the regular season finale on March 2.
