LAREDO, TX – The Wright State men's golf team carded a final round one-over 289 team score on Tuesday in the final round of the Border Olympics as the Raiders finished 12th at five-over overall in their first tournament of the spring season.
The Raiders were led by
Mikkel Mathiesen, who carded a final round 69 to finish five-under in a tie for 12th, tallying four birdies across his round with a single bogey.
Andrew Flynn and
Adam Horn both finished in a tie for 44th at four-over, with Horn carding a 72 on Tuesday as he balanced two birdies and two bogeys, while Flynn shot 73 with three birdies, a pair of bogeys and a double bogey.
Shane Ochs finished with a final round 80 to finish tied for 59th at seven-over for the tournament, while
Brock Rumpke carded a round of 75 on Tuesday to finish 11-over (t77).
Wright State now gets set for tournament action in Georgia in two weeks, playing in the Peoples Golf Championship, presented by Sea Palms Resort at St. Simons Island, Georgia from March 7-9.
