Raiders with work to do after opening day in North Carolina

WILMINGTON, NC – The Wright State golf team will head into Monday's final round of the Seahawk Intercollegiate with ground to make up after the Raiders ended Sunday's action 36-over as a team in a tie for 14th place when play was halted due to darkness midway through the second round.
 
Wright State and the remainder of the field will complete second round action on Monday morning before beginning the final round. The Raiders each have two or three holes remaining to finish up round two among the five players.

Individually, Shane Ochs (+5, t20) paces the Raiders at the Country Club of Landfall, with Mikkel Mathiesen (+7, t31) a couple shots back.
 
Ochs was five-over for a first round 77 with just two birdies over his opening 18 holes, but is currently even in his second round with three holes remaining, already holding three second round birdies on his scorecard. Mathiesen opened with a four-over 76, mixing in four birdies in his first round before currently playing three-over with three holes to play in his second round.
 
Kye Fisher (+13, t73) carded a seven-over 79 in his opening round, mixing in three birdies that were wiped out by a triple bogey, and was six-over with three birdies through 16 holes in his second round. Adam Horn (+14, t76) fought his way to a nine-over 81 in his first 18 holes and is currently five-over in round two with three holes remaining, while Andrew Flynn (+15, t87) was 15-over in his first round before responding with a good second round, currently sitting at three-over with two holes remaining.
