WILMINGTON, NC – The Wright State golf team wrapped up action at the Seahawk Intercollegiate on the North Carolina coast with a 14th-place team finish, with
Mikkel Mathiesen (t26th) leading the way individually for the Raiders at eight over par.
Wright State and the remainder of the field had to complete second round action early Monday morning before beginning the final round. The Raiders finished up the second round with a 306 team round before carding a team round of 295 over their final 18 holes, their best round of the tournament.
Mathiesen finished up his second round with a four-over 76 before an even par final round 72 with a pair of birdies balanced out with two bogeys.
Shane Ochs finished tournament action one shot back of Matrhiesen at nine-over (t30), wrapping up his second round with a three-over 75 before a one-over 73 in his final 18 holes with three birdies.
Kye Fisher (+18, t71) concluded his second round with a seven-over 79 before turning in a four-over final round 76, while
Andrew Flynn (+21, t79) wrapped up a four-over 76 in his second round and followed that a two-over 74.
Adam Horn finished up his second round with a nine-over 81 before bouncing back with a four-over final round 76.
This week's action was the final lengthy trip on the regular season schedule for the Raiders, who now turn their attention to The Jewell tournament April 6 and 7 in Batavia, Ohio. The Raiders also host the Wright State Invitational April 14 and 15 before the Horizon League Championship the following week in Florida.
