Wright State gained their 8-0 advantage in the seventh and eighth innings, beginning with a two-RBI double by Gregory, putting Clark and Manley across home plate, followed by a sacrifice fly by Sass for Gregory to score. An RBI single from Vore allowed Thomas to score the final run of the seventh. An RBI single by Thomas sent Manley to score for the first run of the eighth. The final runs of the game came from a two-RBI single by Luikart, allowing Gregory and Thomas to score.
