COLUMBUS – The Wright State volleyball team saw three players collect double digit kills on Saturday as the Raiders grabbed a four-set win over No. 20 Miami (FL) in the second match of the weekend in the Sports Imports Classic.
Wright State (6-2) controlled much of the afternoon, taking the opening two sets (25-22, 25-20) before Miami (5-2) responded with a 25-17 third set win. The Raiders bounced back and ended the afternoon with a 25-22 fourth set win as they held off a late Hurricane push to grab the win.
Wright State closes the weekend with a Sunday afternoon 2 p.m. contest against host Ohio State.

The Raiders came out on fire Saturday, tallying team hitting percentages of .500 and .538 in the first two sets before finishing the win with a .341 team hitting percentage as they collected 61 kills as a group in the victory. Three players turned in double digit kills for Wright State, paced by
Mya Ayro's career- and match-high 20 kills, with
Sam Ott adding 14 kills and
Reilly Zegunis finishing with 12 kills.
Lauren Yacobucci passed out 49 of the Raiders' 58 assists, filling her final stat line with four blocks, four digs and a pair of service aces, while
Jenny Wessling led Wright State with 15 digs as eight different players collected a dig. Wessling finished with three of the Raiders' seven service aces, with Yacobucci and Zegunis each turning away four blocks.
