DAYTON – The Wright State men's basketball team prepped for the 2025-26 season with an exhibition matchup against Ohio at UD Arena on Monday night as part of the CareSource Invitational-Dayton, with the Raiders grabbing a 63-57 exhibition win.
Wright State now gets set for its season and home opener on November 3 against Franklin College inside the Nutter Center, kicking off a busy week that will also see a long flight to take on California on November 6 in the opening week of action.
Monday's game was part of the third annual CareSource Invitationals, a series of college basketball games dedicated to raising awareness and funds for adolescent and young adult mental health. Centered around the powerful message, "it's Ok to Not be Ok," the CareSource Invitationals aim to normalize mental health conversations nationwide, helping create safe, supportive environments where young people feel empowered to seek help and thrive.
On Monday night, 11 different Raiders saw action on the floor as Wright State prevailed despite shooting just 36.7 percent overall as a group while getting scoring contributions from nine different players.
Michael Cooper finished with a game-high 16 points and
Solomon Callaghan added 14, including a dagger three-pointer in the final minute. Nine different Raiders all had multiple rebounds as Wright State grabbed 40 rebounds as a group and committed just 11 turnovers.
