GREEN BAY, WI- The Wright State men's soccer team fell on the road at Green Bay 0-1 Saturday evening.
Wright State (2-11-1, 2-5 HL) will hit the road again next weekend for a Friday afternoon match at Oakland. The first touch in Rochester, Michigan, is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Green Bay scored the eventual game-winner in the 15
th minute. Kazuki Okazaki stood over a corner kick and sent a cross into the box that found the head of Jeloni Murray-Powell at the back post. Murray-Powell rose above the back and redirected the ball into the back of the net.
The Phoenix attempted to get some insurance for the remaining 75 minutes of the match, but
Alessandro Malterer turned away the other 3 Green Bay shots on goal. Wright State recorded its lone shot on goal in the 71
st minute when
Maximilian Banfi fired a shot on goal from outside the 18-yard box.
In the box score, Wright State trailed Green Bay in shots (6-10), shots on goal (1-6), and corner kick opportunities (5-6).
Roman Kedgley, Marco Odorcic,
Oneil Mitchell, and
Brayden Tester played all 90 minutes in the field for the Raiders.
