CLEVELAND – The Wright State volleyball team got back to its winning ways on Friday night, taking down Cleveland State in four sets in the first of two matches against the Vikings this weekend.

Wright State (9-6, 3-1 Horizon) took the opening set 25-20 before Cleveland State (2-13, 0-4 Horizon) rallied for a 25-18 second set win to knot the score before the Raiders wrapped up the night with 25-17 and 25-23 scores in the third and fourth sets.
The Raiders were paced by
Mya Ayro's match-best 14 kills as she finished the win hitting .303 individually, while
Katie Sowko turned in her eighth double-double of the campaign with 12 kills and 15 digs.
Elena Dubuc added eight kills while
Taylor Bransfield and
Reilly Zegunis each collected seven kills as Zegunis added six blocks and Bransfield had three of her own.
Lauren Yacobucci passed out 35 of Wright State's 47 assists, narrowly missing her own double-double with eight digs, as she added a pair of service aces. A trio of Raiders notched double-digit digs, paced by
Taygan Corstange's match-best 27 as
Greta McKee added 11 digs to join Corstange and Sowko with 10-plus digs.
Three Cleveland State players – Laken Voss, Julia Jozefov and Bryn VanVleet – all had 11 kills in the loss, with Isabella Gibbons passing out 32 assists and Allison Salazar finishing with 10 helpers of her own for the hosts.
