INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON – The Wright State men's basketball team received 221 total votes as the Raiders were selected seventh in the Horizon League preseason poll ahead of the 2025-26 season, the League announced on Wednesday. 

Milwaukee was picked at the top of the poll with 428 points and 24 first-place votes, while Oakland was picked second with 384 points and seven first-place votes. Youngstown State earned 364 points and a pair of first-place votes as Robert Morris had eight first-place votes and 345 total votes to slot fourth. 

Purdue Fort Wayne (287 total points, fifth place - one first-place vote) and Cleveland State (217 total points, eighth place - two first-place votes) received the remaining first-place votes in the preseason poll.

Wright State returns six players from a season ago while adding seven newcomers (four transfers, three freshmen). Logan Woods started 25 games in 2024-25 while shooting 48 percent overall, while Michael Imariagbe (18 starts, 64 percent shooting) and Solomon Callaghan (11 starts, 41 percent shooting) also had double-digit starts and shot over 40 percent from the floor and Andrea Holden connected at a 65 percent shooting clip with five starts. Transfers Sam Alamutu, TJ Burch, Bryan Etumnu and Dominic Pangonis join the Raiders with collegiate experience, along with redshirt freshmen Alex Bruskotter and Ayden Davis and true freshmen Michael Cooper, PJ Douglas and Kellen Pickett.
 

Wright State's inaugural Raider Madness, a brand-new preseason basketball event celebrating both the men's and women's basketball programs, is next Tuesday, October 14, at 7:00 p.m. inside the Nutter Center, with free admission for all fans. Raider Madness will officially tip off the 2025–26 basketball season, giving fans their first chance to see both Wright State teams in action. The event will include player introductions, team drills, inflatables, music, and post-event autograph sessions with the players.
