SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS
Bellarmine enters Wednesday's game at 1-3 on the season with a win over Spading University in their season opener and has dropped their last three to Morehead State, Ohio State, and Miami. The Knights are beginning a stretch where they play eight of their next nine games away from Knights Hall before opening ASUN action Jan. 1 by hosting Queens. Seven of those are true road games, and one is a neutral site. Triniti Ralston, a Southern Indiana transfer, scored 13 points or more in three of the team's four games, including a season-high 21 on Sunday against Miami (OH). The junior point guard has excelled at getting to the FT line, leading the ASUN in FT attempts (36) and makes (30). Her 83.3 FT percentage ranks seventh. Ralston went 12-for-12 from the charity stripe against Miami — she had 11 FT attempts against Spalding. Sophomore guard Ava Smith, a transfer from Utah State, is tied for seventh in the ASUN in 3-pointers made (8). Smith is coming off an 11-point effort against Miami.
HISTORY VS. BELLARMINE
Wednesday's game will mark the 13
th all-time meeting between Wright State and Bellarmine, a series the Knights lead 7-5. Bellarmine came out on top 79-70 when the two teams met in Louisville last season.

Rylee Sagester and
Lauren Scott each scored season highs with 19 and 17 points, respectively, to power the Wright State offense.
Claire Henson led the squad in rebounds with eight and assists with six.
The Raiders started the game on fire, hitting their first three shots to jump out to a 7-0 lead and force an Evansville timeout less than two minutes into the game. Wright State kept up the pressure, leading 22-6 after the first 10 minutes of play thanks to 13 first-quarter points by Sagester, who hit three triples in the quarter.
Scott took over in the second quarter, scoring 12 points of the Raiders' points in the period on an efficient 83% shooting and knocking down a pair of three pointers. Evansville would outscore Wright State in the second to cut the lead down to 13 heading into halftime.
Evansville shrunk the Wright State lead to as low as six points in the final 20 minutes, but the Raiders were able to lead wire-to-wire for the second straight game. Wright State knocked down 14 free throws off 18 attempts in the final 20 minutes of the game to hold off the Purple Aces.

Henson started in all 32 games, averaging 27.6 minutes per game…Averaged 9.8 points per game along with 5.6 rebounds per game… Had a season high of 22 points, along with nine rebounds in a 77-66 win vs Tennessee State (11/15) … Reached double-figures scoring in 15 games… Finished the season with 314 points, 180 rebounds, 71 assists, and 34 steals
Scott played in 28 games, making 23 starts and averaging 24.9 minutes per game… Averaged 7.5 points per game, shooting 35 percent from the field… Had a season-best of 15 points in a 60-52 win over Oakland (02/19)... Recorded more than one three-pointer in eight games… Reached double-figure scoring in seven games… Finished the season with 211 points, 24 rebounds, 21 assists, and 12 steals… Named a finalist for the Horizon League Sportsmanship Award... Named to the CSC Academic All-District Team. Scott was also named as one of the two Wright State representatives on the Horizon League Student Athlete Advisory Committee

Breezie Williams and
Grace Okih join WSU with some collegiate experience and look to make an instant impact. Also joining the Raiders are true freshmen

Williams, a senior guard from Canton, Ohio, comes to Wright State after spending the 2024-25 season at Bryant University. Last season, Williams appeared in 28 games with 25 starts for Bryant, averaging 27.6 minutes per game. She posted a 37.9% field goal percentage and shot 31.3% from beyond the arc. Williams reached double figures in 10 games, including two 20-plus-point performances, and averaged 9.6 points per game. She recorded at least one assist in 26 contests, notching a season-high five assists on two occasions, most recently against Binghamton on March 6. Williams began her collegiate career at New Hampshire, where she played in and started all but one game as a freshman. She was named to the America East All-Rookie Team and ranked among the conference leaders in steals and assists. In two seasons at UNH, she shot 36.9% from the field and averaged 8.6 points per game.
Okih, a senior from Lagos, Nigeria, comes to WSU after spending the 2024-25 season at Incarnate Word. She began her collegiate career at Jacksonville College in Jacksonville, Texas. During her sophomore season at JC, Okih averaged a double-double with 10.4 points and 11.9 rebounds per game, leading NJCAA Region 14 in rebounds and ranking 12th nationally in the NJCAA. She recorded eight double-doubles that season, including a career-high 22 points and 29 rebounds against Coastal Bend CC on January 22, 2024. The 6-foot-2 forward was named Region XIV All-Conference Honorable Mention and was selected as the school's Women's Basketball MVP.
SIZING UP THE 2025-26 SQUAD
The Raiders return nine players from last season while adding four newcomers (two transfers and two freshmen).
The squad features four seniors, three juniors, four sophomores, and two freshmen. The roster also expands not only across the nation, with four different states represented (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin) but across the globe, with three international student-athletes (England, Nigeria, Sweden).
LAST SEASON REWIND
The Wright State women's basketball team finished last season with a 10-22 overall record with a 7-13 mark in Horizon League play.
The Raiders would enter the Horizon League Tournament and defeat #9 Youngstown State at the Nutter Center 73-58 before falling to Purdue Fort Wayne 50-64 in the quarterfinals.
