Men’s Basketball opens Horizon League action Wednesday night

DAYTON - The Wright State men's basketball team opens its 2025-26 Horizon League slate on the road Wednesday night with a 6:30 p.m. tipoff at Youngstown State. Fans can follow the action several ways - watching on ESPN+, via live stats or by tuning in to the Wright State Radio Network - 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Jim Brown will have all the play-by-play on the radio feed.
Fans can tune into 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' or WING 1410 AM live over the air in the Dayton metro area, as well stream the station live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. The iHeartRadio app, the TuneIn Radio app and the Audacy app are all FREE and each carry both stations. Three players finished with double-digit scoring efforts but the Wright State fell 94-69 at Butler on Friday afternoon. The Raiders took a 32-29 lead at the half on Solomon Callaghan's three-point bucket just before the horn to cap a back-and-forth first 20 minutes, but Butler opened the second half on an 18-3 run to gain separation for the remainder of the afternoon. Callaghan finished with a Raider-high 17 points, tallying 14 in the first 20 minutes, aided by five three-pointers. TJ Burch turned in 13 points of his own, a new season-best, and added five assists off the bench while Michael Cooper chipped in 12 points. Michael Imariagbe grabbed a season- and game-high 13 rebounds as he added six points, with Andrea Holden adding eight points and four rebounds.
WRAPPING UP THE TRIP
Wright State finishes a three-game road swing on Wednesday night and will return to the Nutter Center on Sunday for a matchup with Green Bay. Wednesday's contest will mark six of nine games away from home for the Raiders to date this season.
PLAYIN' PENGUINS
Wright State and Youngstown State will meet for the 72nd time on Wednesday night, with the Raiders holding a 50-21 lead in the all-time series. Youngstown State won the first-ever meeting on Jan. 29, 1977 (73-71) but the Raiders bounced back with a home win Jan. 28, 1978 (60-59) in the first of five straight wins early in the series.
YOUNGSTOWN TIDBITS
- Youngstown State enters Wednesday with a 4-4 record, including a pair of wins at home against Penn State-Shenango and Chicago State. The Penguins also have a road win at Grand Canyon and a neutral site victory over Georgia Southern.

TJ TURNS TO STEALING
Despite missing the Ohio Wesleyan game on Nov. 20, TJ Burch's 22 steals are the 12th-most nationally through games on December 1. Burch has multiple steals in six of seven games to date, including back-to-back five steal contests against Radford and Kent State at the Greenbrier Tip-Off.
COOL CALLAGHAN
After a slow start to the season, Solomon Callaghan turned in a pair of double-digit scoring games at the Greenbrier Tip-Off, scoring a game-high 20 points against Radford on Nov. 15 before 10 points against Kent State on Nov. 16. He enters Wednesday averaging 10.3 points per game on 39.3 percent shooting and is coming off a 17-point effort at Butler on Nov. 28.
