LEXINGTON, KY- The Wright State women's basketball team fell on the road to #12 Kentucky Friday night, falling 53-96.

Wright State (5-9, 1-2 HL) will return home on December 29^th as Green Bay comes to town. Tip-off inside the Nutter Center is slated for 7 p.m.

All 12 available Raiders saw action on the court, with eight finding their way onto the scoresheet, led by Claire Henson and Abbie Riddle with 10. Henson also led the Raiders with eight rebounds.

Wright State and Kentucky exchanged buckets and leads early in the first quarter with five lead changes and two ties in the first five minutes of play. With the game tied at 11 a piece, the Wildcats would go on to finish the quarter on a 20-2 run to jump out to a 31-13 lead.

The two sides would exchange buckets again at the beginning of the second quarter before Kentucky finished the first half on a 22-0 run to hold a 57-24 lead entering the halftime locker room. After battling injuries for the past year and a half, Makenzie Drout scored her first points of the season and first as a Raider after missing all of last season.

Clara Strack powered the Wildcats on Friday night, scoring a game-high 26 points on 50% shooting. Strack also hauled in seven rebounds and blocked four Raider shots. Three other Wildcats finished with double-digit points, with Kaelyn Carroll and Tonie Morgan finishing with 18 points and Asia Boone with 17 points.

In the box score, the Raiders trailed the Wildcats in rebounds (33-43), second chance points (5-19), and bench points (17-28). The Wildcats outshot the Raiders, shooting 44.6% from the floor, 38.5% from beyond the arc, and 83.3% from the free-throw line.
