Raiders make short trip for Saturday action

DAYTON – The Wright State track & field programs won't have to travel far for action on Saturday, with the Raiders participating in the Yellow Jacket Open hosted by Cedarville. Action is set to begin at 10 a.m. with both track and field events.

Wright State is expected to have approximately 60 student-athletes competing in the meet. The opening action at 10 a.m. includes the pole vault and high jump competitions, while the first events on the track include the 10k runs and the 3,000m steeplechases as action will take place throughout the afternoon and into the evening, wrapping up around 9 p.m. after a full day of events. More than 1,200 student-athletes representing 25 institutions and nine running clubs are entered into the meet.

Earlier this week, the Raiders swept the Horizon League's weekly awards. Ethan Neblock was named the Horizon League Male Runner of the Week, with Emma Johnson earning HL Female Runner of the Week honors, while Cierra Lively earned HL Female Field Athlete of the Week recognition and Greyson Pollock was named the Horizon League Male Field Athlete of the Week.
