Raiders set to host Wright State Invitational at Heatherwoode Golf Club

DAYTON – The Wright State golf team is set for its final regular season action of the spring as the Raiders host the Wright State Invitational at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro. Action gets underway Sunday at 8:30 a.m. with 36 holes before the final 18 holes on Monday.

The Raiders will get underway on Sunday from holes one and two while the Raider individuals will tee off from hole 16.

The Raiders return to their home course and tournament as the three-time defending champions, with Andrew Flynn capturing last year's individual crown after a playoff with teammate Timmy Hollenbeck. Six Raiders finished inside the top 10 individually last spring, while Wright State is coming off its first tournament title of the spring after capturing The Jewell crown last weekend. Shane Ochs finished second individually last week and earned his second Horizon League Golfer of the Week honor of the spring.

Heatherwoode Golf Club will play as at Par-71, 6,754 yards for the 54 hole, 13 team event. Joining the Raiders will be: Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Findlay, Green Bay, Indian Hills CC, Loyola Chicago, Miami (OH) (individuals only), Ohio Dominican, Southern Indiana, Valparaiso, Xavier and Youngstown State.
Teeing it up for Wright State will be Shane Ochs, Adam Horn, Timmy Hollenbeck, Andrew Flynn, Ian Asch and Ali Berker, while Brock Rumpke will be competing as a individual.
This is the final tuneup for the Raiders before the Horizon League Championship April 19-21 in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida at the Mission Inn Resort.
