DAYTON – The Wright State golf team will begin its quest for a ninth Horizon League Championship in program history on Saturday at the Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, as the Raiders look to defend their team title. Individually, a Raider has won the HL title each of the last three championships.
Â
Action gets underway on Saturday with 18 holes, before the Raiders and the rest of the tournament field will play the second round on Sunday and the final round on Monday.

Â
The grouping of Andrew Flynn, Timmy Hollenbeck, Adam Horn, Shane Ochs and Brock Rumpke will tee off for Wright State, with Ali Berker as the alternate.
Â
The Raiders have five top-five finishes in 10 total tournaments this season spanning the fall and spring schedule, highlighted by the back-to-back team titles at The Jewell and Wright State Invitational this month. Hollenbeck was the Wright State Invitational individual champion earlier this week.
Â
The Raiders' eight team HL titles are the second-most in Horizon League history, trailing only Cleveland State's 10 team titles. Wright State has finished first or second in each of the last five Horizon League Championships. On the individual side, Wright State's nine titles lead all schools, with Flynn capturing last season's title and former Raiders Mikkel Mathiesen (2022) and Tyler Goecke (2023) also part of the recent stretch. Mathiesen set a pair of HL records on the way to his 2022 title, carding the lowest single round score (65) and the lowest total 54-hole score (203) in League history, while Wright State holds the lowest team round score in HL history after its 277 card in the third round of the 2000 Championship.
Â
The El Campeon Course at the Mission Hills Resort & Club will play as a par 72, 6,765 yard course this week for the Horizon League Championship.
