NASHVILLE, TN- The Wright State men's soccer team fell to Belmont 1-2 on the road Thursday night to open their 2025 campaign.

Wright State (0-1) will return to Alumni Field and open the home portion of their 2025 campaign against Bowling Green, with first touch set for 7 p.m. Fan can follow Thursday's action via live stats and can

After a scoreless first 45 minutes Belmont (1-0) opened the scoring in the 51
st minute when Parker Forbes sent a cross into the box that found its way into the back of the net.

The Raiders would level the score in the 70
th minute on a beautiful counter attack orchestrated by
Henry Hutchinson and
Edwin Espinal-Elvir. Hutchinson would lay the ball off the Espinal-Elvir who would run the ball into space and playing a pass through to Hutchinson who slotted the ball past the Belmont keeper for his first goal of the season.

Belmont would regain the lead just nine minutes later when the Bruins were awarded a penalty shot. Louis Pena would take the penalty kick and bury it into the bottom right corner of the net.

The Raiders finished with seven shots – two each from Hutchinson,
Roman Kedgley, and
Keiji Nakazawa and one from
Sammy Jadid
