Men’s Soccer Slips at Lindenwood

ST CHARLES, MO- The Wright State men's soccer team fell on the road to Lindenwood Sunday afternoon.
 
Wright State (0-3) stays on the road for a Thursday night match at Loyola Chicago. First touch in the Windy city is set for 8 p.m. eastern time.
 
Lindenwood (3-0) would open the scoring in the 23rd minute when the Lions were awarded a free kick. Gavin Csiszar took the free kick and rattled a shot off the crossbar that landed perfectly at the feet of Luca Bartoni who tapped the ball into the back of the net.
 
The Lions doubled their lead just before halftime when Matteo Landis played a long through ball up to Jordan Matthews who chipped the ball over the head of the goalkeeper and then the ball was tapped in by Jared Hendricks.
 
Lindenwood would get on more goal of insurance in the second half when a cross found Matteo in the box who took one touch and slotted the ball in the bottom corner of the net.
 
In the box score, Wright State trailed in shots (10-12) and shots on goal (4-5), but led in corner kick opportunities (5-2). Eight different Raiders record shots with Roman Kedgley and Marko Ordorcic each recording two. Alex Normandeau made his season debut in net, playing all 90 minutes.
