LINCOLN, NE – The Wright State volleyball team went toe-to-toe with No. 1 Nebraska on Friday, falling in three sets as the Raiders were in each set and
Mya Ayro finished the night with a match-best 14 kills.
Wright State (2-2) wrap up the weekend in the Midwest with a neutral matchup against Cal out of the ACC on Saturday afternoon, with first serve set for 12 p.m. ET.

Friday night, the Raiders battled in all three sets against top-ranked Nebraska (5-0), dropping sets one and two by 25-16 finals before the third set went 25-20. The opening set was back-and-forth early, with the Raiders using three straight points to take a 13-12 advantage before the hosts pulled away, while the second set followed a similar path before a late surge from Nebraska. The third set saw Wright State lead by five points on three occasions before Nebraska rallied, holding off a final Raider push late in the set to wrap up the night.
Ayro's 14 kills marked her third straight double-digit kill effort as she led all players Friday, while
Taylor Bransfield added six kills of her own to go along with three digs and
Katie Sowko turned in five kills and four digs to go along with the Raiders' lone block of the night and a service ace.
Lauren Yacobucci passed out 25 of Wright State's 30 assists for her fourth contest with 25-plus helpers to start the year, while
Taygan Corstange finished with six digs to pace 10 different Raiders with a dig.
