Raiders with work to do after opening day in Texas

LAREDO, TX – The Wright State golf team struggled in the second round of the Border Olympics on Monday as the Raiders are 13th as a group after the opening day of action in Texas.

On Monday, the Raiders were nine-over as a group after the opening 18 holes before the second round saw Wright State card a 20-over team score. Shane Ochs leads the Raiders individually in 21st at two-over with 18 holes to play.

Ochs opened with an even par round of 71 with a pair of birdies and two bogeys before following a similar path in the second round with four birdies and six bogeys on the way to a 73. Behind him, Adam Horn is 54th at seven-over, opening with a four-over 75 before following that up with a three-over 74 in the afternoon. Jake Wittenauer and CH Scohy are part of a group tied for 66th at 10-over, with Wittenauer carding a pair of five-over rounds of 76 while Scohy opened with an even par round of 71 before a second round 81. Landon Harris is 76th at 19-over after rounds of 80 and 81 on Monday.
