Raiders hit 14 threes in a rout of Milwaukee on Wednesday night

DAYTON- The Wright State women's basketball team got its third straight win in a 22-point rout of Milwaukee Wednesday night in the Nutter Center, winning 77-55. The win is the Raiders' third in a row after sweeping their two-game road trip in Michigan.
Wright State (10-18, 6-11 HL) will hit the road for a rivalry matchup at Northern Kentucky Saturday afternoon. Tip-off at Truist Arena is set for 1 p.m.
Lauren Scott led four other Raiders in double digits Wednesday night with a game-high 15 points, while knocking down a career-high five three-pointers. Rylee Sagester and Claire Henson (14), Breezie Williams (12), and Ellie Magestro-Kennedy (10) all joined Scott in double figures. Henson also finished with eight rebounds and a team -high seven assists, coming up just short of a triple-double. Grace Okih turned in a career-high 10 rebounds in a career-best 23 minutes to lead all players on the glass.
Wright State started the game on fire from downtown, knocking down eight of its first nine shots from behind the three-point line to jump out to a 19-point halftime lead. The Raiders did this while shooting 64% from the floor and 73% from behind the three-point line. Wright State got it done defensively, holding Milwaukee to 23 points in the first 20 minutes. Magestro-Kennedy led the Raiders at the break with 10 points, trailed closely by Sagester and Scott with nine points each.
Milwaukee attempted to make a comeback in the third quarter outscoring the Raiders 19-12 in the third quarter.
Wright State started the final quarter on an 18-5 run to balloon its lead back up to 25 points and place Milwaukee firmly in the rearview mirror. The Raiders knocked down four more threes in the final 10 minutes to total 14 on the game, their most in a single game this season against a Division I opponent and only trailing the 18 they hit against Wilberforce in the home opener.
Grace Lomen finished with 15 points to lead Milwaukee Wednesday night leading two Panthers in double digits. Cece McNair and Jorey Buwalda joined Lomen in double digits with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
