Raiders fifth after opening day action

DADE CITY, FL – The Wright State golf team sits in fifth-place after the opening two rounds of its spring season, with Shane Ochs tied for second individually heading into the final round of the Lake Jovita Invitational in Florida.
The Raiders, one of seven teams under par after 36 holes, will tee off their final round at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday at three-under, six strokes behind team leader Xavier.
FOLLOW LIVE SCORING
Ochs opened action with a two-under opening round 70 with six birdies before carding a second round five-under 67 that featured three eagles and five more birdies. He begins the final round two shots back of individual leader Carson Beaz of Richmond.
Ian Asch and CJ Scohy are each one-under and tied for 17th, with Asch opening with a two-under 70 that featured five birdies before a second round 73 with three birdies and a trio of bogeys. Scohy jumped out early and carded eight first round birdies on the way to a three-under 69 before following that up with a second round 74 at two-over that featured three birdies and five bogeys.
Jack Ward, playing as an independent, is three-over in a tie for 47th after rounds of 74 and 73, carding three birdies and a second round eagle on the par five 13th hole. Kye Fisher is currently tied for 62nd at six-over following rounds of 77 and 73 and Timmey Hollenbeck is 80th at nine-over, opening with a 79 before rebounding with a second round 74.
