DAYTON – The Wright State golf team captured its sixth-straight Wright State Invitational team title at Heatherwoode Golf Club on Monday afternoon, with Timmy Hollenbeck capturing the individual title for the second straight season, as he finished at 14-under.
Â
Hollenbeck's 14-under 199 total score is a new Wright State 54-hole record, which was aided by his new program record low round of 61 from Sunday morning, a mark that also became the new Heatherwoode Golf Club course record.
Â
Since finishing third in the 2019 Wright State Invitational, the first edition of the event held at Heatherwoode, the Raiders have captured the team titles in 2021, 2022 (weather shortened), 2023, 2024, 2025 and now 2026.
Â
The Raiders now get set to head to Florida as the two-time defending Horizon League champions. Action at the 2026 Horizon League Championship gets started on April 25.
Â
On Monday, Wright State expanded on its team lead, entering the day at 24-under after 36 holes and following that up with a seven-under final round to finish 32-under for the tournament.
