Six Raiders named to #HLBASE All-Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON- Wright State's Patrick Fultz, Gus Gregory, Chet Lax, Griffen Paige, JP Peltier, and Hunter Warren were named to the Horizon League Baseball All-Academic Team, as the conference announced the 19-member list voted on by the League's faculty athletics representatives. Â

To be eligible for Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale), have completed at least one year at the member institution (excluding summer school), have earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits, and participate in 50 percent of the team's overall contests, or 20 percent for pitchers.
Wright State's six All-Academic Team members are the most of any Horizon League program. As a team, the Raiders posted a 3.543 GPA in the fall, with 22 players recording a semester GPA above 3.00.

Fultz, a master's student studying business, boasts a 4.00 GPA. This marks Fultz's first All-Academic honor. Â On the field, Fultz has captained the Raiders, making 44 starts at first base. In conference play, Fultz is batting .380 with seven home runs.

Gregory, an organizational leadership major, boasts a 3.97 cumulative GPA. This marks the junior's third All-Academic honor after earning the distinction in 2024 and 2025. On the field, Gregory has hit to the tune of a .279 batting average in 35 starts for the Raiders with six homers. Gregory was named the Horizon League Batter of the Week on Monday afternoon following his standout performance at Northern Kentucky with three home runs in as many games.

Lax, a marketing major, carries a 3.42 cumulative GPA. Lax is earning the first all-academic honor of his collegiate career. On the field, Lax leads the Raiders and the Horizon League with nine wins, pitching 68.1 innings to the tune of a 3.82 ERA. Lax has been named the Horizon League Pitcher of the Week twice, on March 11 and April 6.

Paige, a management major, boasts a 3.44 cumulative GPA. This is the first All-Academic honor for the junior. On the field, Paige has been great on the mound for the Raiders, pitching 63.1 innings to the tune of a 4.83 ERA. Paige leads the Horizon League and ranks 68th nationally, allowing 6.96 hits per nine innings.

Peltier, also a marketing major, boasts a 3.74 cumulative GPA. This marks the second consecutive All-Academic honor after earning the distinction in 2025. On the field, Peltier leads the Horizon League and ranks 14th nationally with 20 doubles. Peltier was named the first Horizon League Batter of the Season on February 16 following his clutch performance in Wright State's win at No. 6 Georgia.

Warren, also an organizational leadership major, carries a 3.39 GPA. This is the first All-Academic honor for the redshirt sophomore. On the field, Warren has excelled in the leadoff spot for the Raiders, leading the team and Horizon League in batting average (.374) and hits (75), both of which rank in the top 100 nationally. Warren was named the Horizon League Batter of the Week on April 13.
