Duncan named Horizon League Batter of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON- Wright State outfielder Andrew Duncan has been named the Horizon League Batter of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Duncan was a force in the middle of the Wright State batting order as they went 3-1 on the week, including a weekend sweep of Oakland. Duncan hit to the tune of a .611 batting average with a 1.872 OPS. The junior led the Raiders in hits (11), runs scored (6), and RBIs (8). Five of Duncan's 11 hits went for extra bases, including a pair of triples, moving him to first nationally in triples and triples per game.
This is the first weekly award of the season for Duncan. He is the fifth Raider to be named the Batter of the Week, joining Keegan Holmstrom (twice), JP Peltier, Cy Turner, and Hunter Warren. The Raiders have also picked up three Pitcher of the Week awards with Michael Bilo, Chet Lax (twice), and Michael Zielinski

Duncan and the Raiders will be back in action this upcoming weekend for a road conference series at Northern Kentucky. The Raiders and Norse are slated to meet at 3 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. Saturday, and 12 p.m. Sunday.
