2008: Appeared in five games...tossed a scoreless inning with two strikeouts in first collegiate appearance (3/25)...allowed one run with a strikeout in an inning of work against Urbana (4/8)...allowed a single in two-thirds of an inning at #22 Kentucky (5/6)...allowed two runs struck out three in two innings of work against Youngstown State (5/9)...allowed a run in one inning of work against NJIT (5/17).

Bowling Green: Attended classes but did not compete in baseball while at Bowling Green State University.

Prep: Lettered twice for the Pioneers...was selected team captain and team MVP during his senior season...garnered All-Pioneer Conference, All-City, All-District and All-Region honors during his senior campaign...led EHS to the Regional Semifinals and a 17-11 record as a senior...played for head coach John Svernus while at EHS...also lettered in football and basketball...was named team MVP during his senior season in football...holds six school records in football for the Pioneers.

Personal: Born Griffin David Knapp on January 3, 1986...the son of David and Carolyn Knapp...has one brother, Ryan, and one sister, Shannon.
