Box Score

The Wright State men's basketball team finished their first road trip of the season with a 86-70 loss at Chicago State on Wednesday. The Raiders led by two points at the half, but an 18-6 run by the Cougars to open the second stanza proved to be the difference.

With 4:23 remaining in the first half, the Raiders pushed their lead to 29-22 when Jordan Pleiman took a pass from Reinaldo Smith and laid it into the basket. The seven-point lead was the largest of the game for the Raiders, but the Cougars responded with seven unanswered points, tying the game at 29-29. After trading baskets, the Raiders would add the last points of the half on a fast break dunk from Scottie Wilson. Ultimately giving the Raiders a 33-31 lead at the break.

To start the second half, the Cougars opened with a 16-4 run to give them a 47-37 lead with 14:16 left in the game. The Green and Gold cut the lead to six points on a Smith three-point field goal at the 11:35 mark. Chicago State would push their lead back to double-digits just a minute later as they held off the Raiders down the stretch.
