Box Score The Wright State baseball team dropped the series finale to Eastern Michigan 11-2 on Sunday at the Athletes in Action Complex in Xenia. The Raiders committed four errors in the game and five different pitchers allowed runs in the finale against the Eagles.
EMU got the scoring started in the first inning on back-to-back doubles off of WSU starting pitcher Rylan Ostrosky.
Wright State tied the game in their half of the first inning as R.J. Gundolff double to open the game and scored on an RBI single from Jeremy Hamilton. It was the first RBI of the season for Hamilton, who now has 94 career RBI's at WSU.
After a scoreless second inning, Eastern Michigan tallied a pair of runs in the third inning to take the lead for good.
Gerald Ogrinc capped the scoring for Wright State in the fourth inning as he smacked his second home run of the season.
After WSU cut the lead to 3-2 after four innings, EMU would tally one run in each of the next three innings. Then in the eighth the Eagles scored five runs off of three different WSU pitchers.
Jeff Mercer singled to keep his streak to 13 straight games with a hit alive. Ogrinc chipped in a pair of hits and John Kopilchack singled in the contest.
The Raiders fall to 3-10 overall on the season and will take the field on Tuesday, March 18 against Bowling Green at Nischwitz Stadium. The Raiders and Falcons are scheduled to take to the field for a 6:30 first pitch.
