Raider Baseball earns Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association recognition

CLEVELAND/DAYTON – Wright State and the Raider baseball team have earned recognition from the Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association, with the Raidergang finishing as one of four baseball programs to finish at the top of the 2024-25 DI-AAA ADA All-Sports standings in their respective sport.

Arkansas-Little Rock, Creighton, UC Irvine joined the Raiders as the top baseball programs that earned the recognition, which is given to member institutions that finish the highest in the NCAA post-season tournaments in those sports in which at least 25% of the eligible I-AAA membership sponsor the given sport. Now in its 25th year, the Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association's mission is to enhance initiatives common to its Division I-AAA membership (the 98 Division I institutions that do not sponsor football), in particular, aspects related to their flagship basketball programs.

Wright State finished the 2025 campaign with a 40-21 overall record and captured the Horizon League regular season and tournament titles. The Raiders advanced to their first regional final appearance since 2016, knocking off regional host Vanderbilt along the way to make Vanderbilt the first number-one overall seed to not make a regional final. The Raiders' 40 wins marked the sixth 40-win campaign in the Division-I era for the program and first since head coach Alex Sogard's first year when the team went 42-17.
