Rylan Ostrosky tossed the first two innings scoreless for the Green and Gold, striking out two and allowing only one hit.
With WSU leading 2-0, Kentucky erupted for eight runs on nine hits and captured the lead for good in the bottom of the third. Michael Meintel allowed the eight runs and fell to 1-3 overall in the season in the loss.
UK would add a run in the fourth and Hamilton would tally his third RBI of the game in the fifth inning to make the score 9-3 in favor of the Wildcats.
UK would tally 12 more runs off of five WSU relief pitchers to end the day with 21 total runs on 23 hits.
Hamilton would collect a pair of hits in the contest and drive in three RBI's top give him 41 on the season. The junior now has 21 home runs in his career and sits in a tie for 11th on the all-time list. Jeff Mercer, Sam Mote and Kris Steffen each collected hits in the contest for WSU.
The Raiders fall to 24-19 overall and will return to the diamond on Friday, May 9, against Youngstown State. The Green and Gold will host the Penguins in a doubleheader at Nischwitz Stadium starting at 3:00.
