
Baseball Rolls to 17-6 Win Over Otterbein

The Wright State baseball team exploded for nine runs in the first three innings and went on to a 17-6 win over Otterbein Monday night at Nischwitz Stadium.
The Cardinals opened the scoring with a run in the first before WSU tied it in the bottom of the inning on a Mark Fowler sacrifice fly. The Raiders then broke the game open with five in the second, the big blow being a three-run John Brodner double, and three more in the third, including an RBI single from Joe Ford.
Wright State added three in the fifth, three in the sixth and two in the eighth to round out its scoring.
Brodner finished with three hits and four RBI to pace the Raider offense while Kody Krizman had three hits, including his first home run of the season, and two RBI. Kieston Green and Beau Phillips each had two hits, two RBI and three runs scored while Ford had two hits and four runs scored.
Wright State (10-14) is right back in action Tuesday night, hosting Cincinnati at 6:30.
