Down 4-2 after three innings, the baseball team outscored Milwaukee 11-2 the rest of the way for a 13-6 decision Thursday afternoon at Miller Park, home of major league baseball's Milwaukee Brewers.

After the Panthers opened the scoring with a run in the first, WSU took its first lead of the day with two in the second, taking advantage of two Milwaukee errors with two outs. UWM, however, went back in front 4-2 with three runs in the bottom of the third.

The Raiders cut the deficit to 4-3 in the fourth as a Joe Ford squeeze bunt plated Kieston Greene, who doubled and went to third on a Sean Murphy ground out and then tied it with another run in the fifth as Michael Timm tripled down the right field line and came in on a Jason DeFevers sacrifice fly.

Wright State took the lead for good with five runs in the sixth. Jeff Limbaugh hit a two-run double to make it 6-4 and after John Brodner had a RBI single, a two-run hit from Andrew McCafferty extended the advantage to 9-4.

Milwaukee picked up a run in the sixth on a Mitch Ghelfi homer, only to see the Raiders break the game open in the seventh on a pair of two-run singles by Timm and DeFevers.

Jack Van Horn (4-2) picked up the win with four innings of relief, allowing two runs while striking out two. Offensively, Limbaugh finished with three hits, two runs scored and two RBI while DeFevers had three RBI and Timm and Brodner each had two hits, two runs scored and two RBI.

Wright State (32-19, 24-3 Horizon) and Milwaukee (18-26, 9-13 Horizon) continue the series Friday with a 5:00 Eastern game at Henry Aaron Field.
