The Wright State baseball team stayed alive in the Horizon League Tournament with a 7-0 win over Valparaiso in an elimination game Friday afternoon at Kapco Park in Mequon, Wisconsin.

After falling behind early in its tournament game against Youngstown State on Thursday, WSU turned the tables on the Crusaders, scoring twice in the bottom of the first.  With one out, Jeff Limbaugh doubled down the right field line and the Raiders loaded the bases as Andrew McCafferty walked and Kieston Greene was hit by a pitch.  A force out at second off the bat of Sean Murphy plated Limbaugh with the first run and Greene scored as Brad Macciocchi beat out a high chopper to third for an infield hit.

Wright State tacked on a run in the fourth as Joe Ford walked, went to second on a Jack Murphy bunt and after going to third on a Jason DeFevers hit through the left side, scored on a squeeze bunt by Michael Timm.

WSU broke the game open with three in the sixth, one coming on a Limbaugh hit to left and the other two on a two-run single by Sean Murphy.

Robby Sexton (8-4), meanwhile, dominated on the mound as the sophomore lefthander scattered seven hits and a walk in pitching a complete-game shutout with four strikeouts.

Offensively, Sean Murphy drove in three while Limbaugh and DeFevers each had two hits.

Wright State (34-21) faces the loser of Friday night's winner's bracket final between Milwaukee and Youngstown State Saturday at noon Eastern.  The winner of that game then takes on the Milwaukee/Youngstown State in the first game of the championship round Saturday at 4:00 Dayton time.
