Box Score A 25-0 first-half run broke open a two-point contest as the Wright State men's basketball team dropped a 90-65 decision at #12/13 Xavier Tuesday night.
Michael Karena drew the Raiders to within two at 8-6 with a jumper at the 15:18 mark, but the Musketeers scored the next 25 points over a 9:07 span en route to a 49-21 halftime lead.
Xavier (9-0) maintained control the rest of the way in shooting 41 percent for the game, including 10 of 23 three-pointers, and hitting 28 of 34 free throws. WSU, meanwhile, shot 37 percent overall and made four of eight foul shots.
Karena led the Raiders with 10 points while Biggie Minnis and Justin Mitchell had seven points each.
Wright State (3-6) faces another local rival on the road on Sunday, December 13, as the Raiders take on the Miami RedHawks at Millett Hall starting at 1:30.
