Box Score The Wright State baseball team led 2-0 early, but it was all Youngstown State from there as the Penguins pulled away late for a 13-3 decision Saturday afternoon at Eastwood Field.
The Raiders scored twice in the fourth on a Matt Morrow single and a RBI ground out by Gabe Snyder, only to see the Penguins go in front to stay in the bottom of the inning on a three-run home run from Shane Willoughby.
YSU added three more in the fifth, but WSU cut the deficit to 6-4 with a run in the seventh as Ryan Fucci doubled and scored on a John Brodner hit.
Youngstown State, however, broke the game open with four runs in the bottom of the seventh and three more in the eighth.
Fucci and Sean Murphy each had two hits to pace the Raider offense.
Wright State (30-11, 14-5 Horizon) wraps up the series with a single game Sunday at 1:00.
