After sweeping Horizon League foe Youngstown State over the weekend, the Raiders will play two mid-week, non-conference games. The Raiders, 22-11 and 11-4, host Dayton Wednesday at 6:30 pm. The game at Toledo on Tuesday has been canceled due to weather concerns.
Wright State, 4-1 last week, was led by Gabe Snyder, Horizon League Batter of the Week, as he collected 10 RBI on three home runs to become the all-time career leader at WSU in RBI. He is now hitting .348 on the season and needs just two home runs to pass Bryan Vickers for the career record. He is currently ninth in the nation for Home runs with 12 and seventh in RBI with 44. Ryan Weiss led the pitchers as he threw seven innings Friday night, allowing just one earned run and striking out eight batters. Reliever Derek Hendrixson has seven saves on the season with an ERA of 3.08.
Dayton
The Flyers, 8-22 and 2-7 in the Atlantic-10, have lost four straight, including one at Toledo last week 7-6. UD will host Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday. Pat Meehan leads the Flyers with a .303 average, six home runs, 23 RBI and 10 doubles. The Raiders won the earlier-season matchup 7-3 at home as WSU leads the overall series 85-4-1.
