The Wright State golf team will play in the Horizon League Championships with 18 holes Sunday through Tuesday at Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.
After having to cancel the Wright State Invitational earlier this week, the Raiders last played in the Big Blue Invitational in Nashville. Mitch Lehigh, a junior from Gnadenhutten, OH, shot his best round of 70, then followed that with his new best round of 69 to finish 75-70-69=214 for a fifth place tie overall at the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate in Nashville, TN.  It was his best career finish as the Raiders placed third as a team. Lehigh was named the Horizon League Golfer of the Week for that performance. Chris Rossi has averaged 73.8 over 26 rounds this year.
The Raiders placed third at last year's Horizon League Championship behind Cleveland State and Oakland as Ryan Wentzler tied for the overall lead and Chris Rossi was 15th. Wright State was picked to finish third in this year's preseason poll behind OU and CSU. Earlier this week, Austin Schoonmaker, , finance major, was named to the All-Academic Golf Team. He has averaged 75.8 over 23 rounds during the season. His best round of 71 came at the Joe Feagenes Marshall Invitational.
Live stats will be available through the Horizon League website.
