The Wright State women's tennis team will make their spring season home debut on Friday Night against the Chicago State Cougars. Matches are slated to begin at 7:00 PM at the South Regency Tennis and Fitness Center. WSU hits the road again to play at Marshall, then West Virginia State at the same facility Saturday.
The Raiders return home after finding great success in doubles play over the last weekend at the Indiana University Invitational. Players
Luisa Pelayo and
Grace Whitney were named the Horizon League Doubles Team of the Week, which was announced by league officials on Tuesday.
Pelayo and Whitney went 3-1 in four matches this weekend with wins over Marquette 6-0, and two teams from Abilene Christian 6-4 and 6-1, before falling to Indiana 7-5. Each player also picked up one additional doubles win with different partners on the third day of the tournament.
