Fairborn, Ohio – On a rainy Saturday morning, the Raiders hosted the Youngstown State Penguins in the second game of the weekend series. The Raiders would fall behind early thanks to a four run inning and a five run inning back-to-back, claw their way back to within two, but would fall just short with the bases loaded in the home half of the ninth.

SCORING
1st Inning – The Raiders opened up the scoring on Saturday as an infield grounder was misplayed by Penguins shortstop Phillip Glasser, allowing
Peyton Burdick to score from third with two outs in the inning.
2nd Inning – The Penguins drew the game back level in the 2
nd, as Jeff Wehler scored on a
Zane Collins wild pitch.
3rd Inning – Youngstown State strung together four hits in the top portion of the frame, allowing them to pin four runs on Collins, and extending the lead to 5-1. The Raiders would answer with a
Peyton Burdick solo home run to pull within three.
4th Inning – The lead was extended for the Penguins in the fourth, as they rallied for five runs on two hits, capitalizing on a throwing error from first baseman
Damon Dues and a two-run single off the wall in left field. The Raiders would answer with a solo home run off the bat of
Tyler Black, his second of the season.
6th Inning – Wright State added their third solo home run of the game off the bat of
Seth Gray, pulling the score to 10-4.
7th Inning – A J.D. Orr RBI single and a
Seth Gray sacrifice fly brought the Raiders back to within four runs at 10-6.
8th Inning – Zane Harris led off the 8
th with the fourth of four solo home runs in the game to left field, bringing Wright State within three.
9th Inning – A bases loaded walk to
Chase Slone brought the score to 10-8 with two outs, but the Raiders would leave the bases loaded, and the tying run would be stranded on second base.
