@RaiderGang Drops First Game at Milwaukee

The Wright State baseball team traveled north to start a three-game series at Milwaukee where they lost to the Panthers 10-6 Friday afternoon at Henry Aaron Field.  The Raiders are now 26-12, 10-6 while Milwaukee goes to 21-13, 9-6.

The Raiders jumped to a 6-2 led going into the bottom of the seventh with key hits, a two-run homerun by Seth Gray and a steal of home by Damon Dues, but the Panthers scored twice in the seventh and six in the eighth to seal the win.  Zach Weatherford collected three hits with an RBI and a double while Dues finished with two hits and two stolen bases.  Starter Bear Bellomy gave up four runs in six innings with two strikeouts and no walks.  Mitch Gremling took the loss for the Raiders.

Top of Third: Damon Dues popped up to shortstop to left center for a sacrifice fly and an RBI; Brandon Giltrow advanced to third on a muffed throw by the Milwaukee catcher; Chase Slone scored.

Top of Fourth: Zach Weatherford doubled to center to drive in Seth Gray for an unearned run.  Chase Slone flew out to right for a sacrifice fly and RBI; Tyler Black advanced to third and Zach Weatherford scored.

Top of Fifth: Seth Gray homered to right field for two RBI; Damon Dues scored. It was Gray's eighth homerun of the year.

Top of Seventh: Damon Dues stole home after leading off the inning with a single to right.

The teams will play a doubleheader Saturday at Noon eastern.
