Raiders mount impressive comeback in Tuesday victory

Fairborn, Ohio – The Wright State baseball team played host to the Bowling Green Falcons in a Tuesday night affair at Nischwitz Stadium. In the first and only meeting between the two teams this season, the Raiders came back from down 4-0 to win by a final of 8-4. The Raiders are now 28-13. "It was a good team win today," commented head coach Alex Sogard. "I thought we started a little bit slow offensively and I think that we could've done a better job against their starter, but we did a good job of sticking to the approach and in the fifth inning we were able to put some runs on the board thanks a big 2 out hit by Seth Gray. Our bullpen did a really good job today, Tyler Luneke was outstanding and help slow down their offense. I thought we played really good defense as a whole and it was good to get a win going into the Dayton game tomorrow."

SCORING
4^th Inning – The Falcons jumped on top midway through the game and seemingly took all the momentum from the game by putting up a four spot on a two-RBI double and two RBI singles.
5^th Inning – Wright State would not go down easily, as Peyton Burdick walked in a run, Seth Gray hit a three RBI triple, and Zane Harris drove in Gray with a single to left field, putting the Raiders on top 5-4.
7^th Inning – A Zane Harris sacrifice fly and a two-RBI single off the bat of Chase Slone padded the Wright State lead to four runs at a comfortable 8-4.

NOTES

Seth Gray extended his current hitting streak to 10 games with his three-RBI triple in the fifth inning, his team-leading 17^th multi-RBI game of the season.
J.D. Orr reached base for the 21^st consecutive game on Tuesday.
Chase Slone registered his ninth multi-RBI game of the season with two RBI in Tuesday's contest
Orr now has 100 career stolen bases, one short of the Wright State record.

The Raiders will return to action tomorrow as they take on the Dayton Flyers on the road. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM. The Flyers are now 22-18-1.
