Baseball Set for Crucial Road Weekend

The Wright State Raiders baseball team (32-13, 14-7, 1st place) is back in action this weekend as they match up with Youngstown State (11-32, 5-13, 6th place) for a three-game Horizon League series. The Raiders are coming in hot off of a series sweep against UIC last weekend and are currently on a 5 game winning streak.
There was plenty of offense the last time these two teams matched up, with a total of 52 combined runs being scored through a three game span. Since then, the Raiders have won 14 of their last 19 games. They have also continued their dominance at the plate, where JD Orr has had a double in each of the Raiders last three games, which boosted their season total to a league leading 94. The Penguins will see a set of familiar faces this weekend as Bear Bellamy (5-3, 3.62 ERA), Bradley Brehmer (6-0, 3.88 ERA) and Zane Collins (7-3, 5.40 ERA) are set to take the mound on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
The Penguins are led offensively by junior Blaze Glenn, who has started in each of the Penguins 43 games and leads the team in doubles (9), home runs (8) and RBI (40). Youngstown State has also won three of their last four. However, they have only played one game since April 24th, due to their series with Oakland being canceled.
Friday's game is set for a 6:00 PM first pitch, and audio and live stats are available for all three of this weekend's contests via the baseball schedule page. The Raiders will return to Nischwitz Stadium next weekend to host Northern Kentucky, and game three of that series will be Raider Day at Fifth Third Field, home of the Dayton Dragons. Tickets to that event are free, and can be reserved at  http://daytondragons.com/raiderday.Â
