Wright State's
Cierra Lively broke an indoor school record in the high jump as the Wright State track and field program competed at the Mastodon Invitational on Saturday inside the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse.
The Raiders turned in 22 top-10 marks in their fourth meet of the season, highlighted by Lively's runner-up finish in the high jump at 1.64 meters. The clearance by the sophomore bested the previous record mark of 1.63 meters held by Kristina Bennett and herself. The Hillsboro, Ohio native went on to place fifth in the triple jump at 9.75 meters.
Emma Shigley,
Alicia Neumeier, and
Kaitlyn Miller paced the Raiders in the distance portion of the meet with a pair of top-10 finishes. Shigley earned fifth overall in the mile run (5:13.67) and eighth in the 800-meter run (2:31.78). Neumeier was sixth in the 800 (2:28.07) and seventh in the mile (5:22.93), while Miller took eighth in the mile (5:24.29) and 10th in the 800 (2:32.31).
Kylee Thomas headlined the Raider sprinters, placing fifth in the 200-meter dash (27.40) and sixth in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles (9.73).
Bekah Robertson was eighth in the 60-meter hurdle finals at 9.88 seconds.
Melissa Siler (6, 4.71m), Robertson (7, 4.70m), and
Tatiana Brown (9, 4.57m) were among the top-10 in the long jump.
Mia Wyngarden claimed sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.93.
Callista Hess earned sixth in the triple jump (9.64m) and seventh in the high jump (1.43).
Meredith Goecke placed fifth at 2.96 meters as WSU's lone competitor in the women's pole vault.
On the men's side,
Alex McCarty took sixth out of 35 competitions in the mile run with a time of 4:27.68. He was followed by

Wright State will return to competition a week later at the Steemer Showcase hosted by Wittenberg on Saturday, January 28.
