Wright State cruised to an eight-stroke victory last March for the team title as three players finished inside the top 15 individually last spring.
Â
In addition to the defending champion Raiders, 2021 team champion Jacksonville State is also in the field as the tournament gets underway for the third time with the largest field in its brief history.
Â
The 20-team field also includes Austin Peay, Augusta, Bellarmine, Belmont, Central Florida, Davidson, High Point, Marshall, Morehead State, Murray State, Radford, Richmond, Siena, USC Upstate, Weber State, Western Kentucky, Xavier and tournament-host Western Carolina.
Â
Wright State is coming off a third-place team finish at 18-under for the tournament at the Loyola Intercollegiate in Arizona last week as Cole Corder and Tyler Goecke tied for second individually at nine-under each. Corder was later named Horizon League Golfer of the Week for his play that included a hole-in-one during final round play.
